About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Construction Lecturer to join our team. As a Construction Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and training students in various construction skills, including bricklaying, multi-skills, plumbing, electrical installation, and carpentry.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and train students in construction skills, including bricklaying, multi-skills, plumbing, electrical installation, and carpentry.
- Develop and deliver lesson plans and training programs to meet the needs of students.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to improve their skills.
- Work with students to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address these areas.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
- Teaching qualification, such as AET, PTLLS, PGCE, or certificate in education.
- Assessors' qualification, such as A1, D33/D34, CAVA, TAQA, or IQA.
- Level 3 or equivalent qualification in teaching subject area.
- Ability to manage challenging behavior.
- Experience interacting with 16–19-year-olds in education or apprentice setting.
- Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Reed Compliance.
