Rate: £25p/h - £37p/h including holiday pay (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Lecturer to join our team. As a Construction Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and training students in various construction skills, including bricklaying, multi-skills, plumbing, electrical installation, and carpentry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and train students in construction skills, including bricklaying, multi-skills, plumbing, electrical installation, and carpentry.
  • Develop and deliver lesson plans to meet the needs of students.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback.
  • Work with students to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other instructors to develop and implement curriculum.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
  • Teaching qualification, such as AET, PTLLS, PGCE, or certificate in education.
  • Assessors' qualification, such as A1, D33/D34, CAVA, TAQA, or IQA.
  • Level 3 or equivalent qualification in teaching subject area.
  • Ability to manage challenging behavior.
  • Experience interacting with 16–19-year-olds in education or apprentice setting.
  • Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Reed Compliance.
