Estimator - Commercial Glazing Systems Specialist

About the Role:The Estimator - Commercial Glazing Systems will be responsible for producing estimates for the design, fabrication, and installation of aluminium curtain walling, windows, and doors. This role requires a strong background in estimating and a deep understanding of the fenestration market sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Estimate production for commercial glazing projects
- Review tender documents and create high-quality tender returns
- Utilize specialist estimating software to determine material costs
- Negotiate prices with suppliers and gather quotations for projects
- Liaise with main contractors throughout the project and beyond
- Ensure the internal CRM system is regularly updated
- Prepare handover documents for the contracts department
- Attend pre and post-tender meetings as required
- Estimate projects ranging in value from £10,000 to circa £1,500,000
- Prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met
- Estimating experience within the fenestration market sector
- Strong background in architectural glazing, curtain walling, fire-rated glazing, structural glazing, windows, and doors
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- IT literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Proactive and motivated individual with strong commercial awareness
