The role involves listening to, understanding, and reproducing content in the source language, with 100% accuracy. You will interpret for individuals using legal, health, and local government services, ensuring effective communication and understanding.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting for clients in various settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, and Police
  • Verifying the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence
  • Providing conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
  • Handling confidential information with discretion
  • Liaising between service users and providers

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and another language
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications, such as DPSI, Community Interpreting, or Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
