We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team in a primary school in the BB5 area. This is a full-time temporary role, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to students in KS2.
- Assess student needs and use specialist skills to support learning.
- Establish positive relationships with students, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
- Step in for the class teacher in their absence, ensuring continuity of learning.
- Address gaps in learning and provide additional support as needed.
- Understand and follow safeguarding procedures to ensure a safe learning environment.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience as a HLTA or Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
- A Level 2 safeguarding certificate (can be completed following application).
- A DBS on the update service (can be applied for following application).
- Professional references from previous employers.
