Job Overview

This role is an exciting opportunity for a qualified driver to provide a supportive service to clinical and non-clinical teams within the NHS. Our transport drivers use various Trust vehicles to facilitate the movement of staff, patients, and equipment around hospital sites.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for moving employees, beds, trolleys, and wheelchairs safely and efficiently, as well as transporting items such as furniture, post, specimens, patient notes, medical records, and procurement stores items.

The role may involve working shifts in any area/location of the Trust and performing duties in other departments within the Facilities Directorate.

Requirements and Benefits
  • Must hold a UK driving licence (PCV/LGV) with up to 6 penalty points due to Commercial Vehicle Insurance.
  • NVQ level 2 or relevant experience in road transport operations.
  • Experience and ability to work on various shift patterns.
  • Previous experience of working in a transport environment.
Employment Details

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and a Disclosure check will be required.

The estimated salary for this position is £27,500 per annum.
