Job Title: Chief Production Engineer
Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Chief Production Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production engineering team, you will be responsible for new model activity, interacting with customers and the R&D team, and overseeing the installation and completion of projects on time and within budgetary guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment to improve efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements.
- Conduct time studies and provide feedback to management to optimize production workflows.
- Troubleshoot existing operations to achieve stated management objectives.
- Administer performance reviews and support development of 5S, TPM, and Kaizen programs.
- Develop and execute a monthly plan to ensure daily control items align with the company business plan and key objectives/metrics.
- Ensure all plant upgrades and equipment installations are completed according to schedule.
- Participate in the development of new or improved products, including process flow.
- Develop contingency plans to address future issues.
- Support the development of 5S, TPM, and Kaizen programs.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of operations and engineering practices and procedures within a JIT manufacturing environment.
- Good written, verbal, organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Previous manufacturing/engineering experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb stairs, use fingers, hands, wrists, arms, lift and/or move a maximum of 50 lbs. occasionally.
