Join Our Team as a Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant at Trinity House. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our residents while developing your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

About the Role:

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Cook and Assistant Cook in preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks. Your duties will include:

Meal Preparation:

  • Preparing ingredients and cooking meals
  • Serving meals and snacks to residents

Cleanliness and Maintenance:

  • Keeping work areas, kitchen, and dining room clean and tidy
  • Maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils

Teamwork and Communication:

  • Working effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless meal services
  • Maintaining confidentiality and respecting residents' dignity

Requirements:

  • Essential qualifications: NVQ2 in Food Preparation & Cooking or equivalent
  • Desirable experience: working with older people and in a kitchen environment
