About the Role

The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Returns and Planning Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of our education and training activities, and to lead the work of the Division in preparing statutory student returns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the delivery of regulatory reporting to our University Partners and the Office for Students (OfS), undertaking data cleansing, data queries, and data production.
  • Develop and maintain a suite of validation and exception reports using SQL and Power BI, ensuring optimal data quality at key points during the academic year.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of forthcoming changes in statutory reporting, attending and participating in sector events as required.
  • Communicate change requirements by developing and facilitating training and workshops with the Head of Academic Registry, Statutory Returns, Planning and Insights Manager, and the Finance Manager.
  • Use student data systems to develop and deliver Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards for management teams within the Division and across the Trust, driving forward strategic change in line with KPI targets and other objectives.

About the Team

You will join a dedicated and dynamic team based in north-west London, working in a hybrid environment with 2-3 days per week in the office. Our team operates on a portfolio basis, sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative, supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Higher Education, particularly in the preparation and delivery of Statutory Returns.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a team.
