Job Title: Academic Lecturer in Construction
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Academic Lecturer in Construction to join our team at MidKent College. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality construction programmes to students, ensuring they receive an outstanding level of service.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching in accordance with approved College standards and applicable validating/moderating bodies.
- Prepare teaching materials, sequences of learning, and lesson plans as required.
- Assess students' written and practical work, monitoring and reporting on their progress.
- Undertake day-to-day course management duties, including communication, problem-solving, and administrative tasks.
- Assist with the recruitment and selection of suitable candidates for courses.
- Monitor student attendance and results, reporting on attendance, retention, achievement, and success.
- Attend meetings, including staff meetings, parent evenings, and marketing events.
- Work with colleagues to develop courses, training methods, and materials.
- Participate in relevant college meetings, groups, and committees.

- Relevant qualifications and experience in construction education.
- Excellent teaching and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
