Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Thanet Community Mental Health Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and treating mental health conditions in patients under secondary mental health services.

Main Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide clinical supervision and appraisal to junior medical staff, ensuring they receive the support and guidance needed to excel in their roles.
  • Participate in service and business planning activities, contributing to the development of effective strategies for improving mental health services in the locality.
  • Collaborate with local managers and professional colleagues to ensure the efficient running of services, sharing best practices and expertise to drive excellence.
  • Undertake administrative duties associated with patient care, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Attend and participate in the Trust's academic program, including lectures and seminars, to enhance professional development and stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices.
