Job Summary:

Educated Appointments is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employability Trainer to join our client's exceptional Employability team. As an Employability Trainer, you will play a crucial role in empowering students to develop the skills and confidence necessary to excel in the workplace.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching sessions, incorporating effective learning strategies and technologies to achieve outstanding learning outcomes.
  • Design, develop, and maintain teaching resources to ensure an exceptional learning experience for students.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure the well-being of students.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate the delivery of employability skills programs for a diverse range of students, including those in Business Administration, Customer Service, Hospitality, Adult Social Care, and Digital Skills.
  • Provide recruitment and selection support to build a caseload of students.
  • Offer academic and pastoral support to students, helping them to raise their ambition and aspiration, and ensuring they reach their full potential.
  • Undertake student assessments, including initial assessments, internal verification, and liaison with external verifiers and awarding bodies as required.
  • Embed maths and English skills into teaching practice, in line with the college's strategy.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver an exceptional student experience, engaging, inspiring, and preparing students for the world of work.
  • Work with the Team Leader and Quality team to strive for excellence and improve standards.
  • Engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders to maximize opportunities for employer engagement in the learning process.
  • Support college marketing and recruitment activities to attract potential learners and improve conversion rates.
  • Must have access to a vehicle and be willing to travel.

Requirements:

  • Experience in delivering employability programs to students aged 16+ and adults.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
