Job Title: Assistant Industrial Door Engineer

Infinity Employment is seeking a skilled Assistant Industrial Door Engineer to join our Specialist Engineering client based nationally. This is a field-based role, with flexibility to work from various locations, including Cambridge, Stevenage, or Peterborough.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled individual to assist our fully qualified Industrial Door Engineer in performing planned and reactive maintenance, repair, and installation works. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the Industrial Door Industry or a related Engineering background.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Industrial Door Engineer in conducting planned maintenance, repair, and installation works
  • Attend sites with the Engineer to perform tasks, including scheduled and responsive work
  • Conduct a mixture of scheduled and reactive tasks, including maintenance, repair, and installation works
  • Work with a variety of products, including Industrial roller doors, sectional overhead doors, high-speed doors, loading bay equipment, steel personnel doors, fire shutters, and security roller shutters
Requirements:
  • Good knowledge of the Industrial Door Industry or a related Engineering background
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Flexibility to work away from home, with a generous overnight allowance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Package:
  • 6-month probation period
  • Hourly rate offered is £ p/hour PAYE, basic depending on experience
  • Normal hours of work are 9 hours per day, typically starting at 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday
  • Overtime is 1.5 x basic and 2 x basic for Sundays
  • Bank holidays are paid at 1.5 x basic plus a day off in lieu
  • Product and safety training as necessary
  • 22 days holiday per annum up to a max of 25 days, plus 8 national bank holidays
  • Van and tools provided, including company-branded polo shirts, sweater, Hi-Viz jackets, and coats
