Sports Coach Basketball

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sports Coach to join our team at The Perse School. As a Sports Coach, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality coaching to students across the school, with a focus on basketball.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive basketball programme for students of all ages and abilities
• Coach basketball teams and individuals, providing guidance and support to help them improve their skills
• Work closely with the Director of Sport to develop and implement sports development strategies
• Monitor and review student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these
• Ensure that all activities and events are staffed, resourced, and compliant with health and safety regulations and school policies

• Proven track record of coaching excellence and strong subject knowledge in basketball
• Genuine passion for working with and coaching young people
• High standards of behaviour and ability to model school values
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• ICT competence and willingness to learn and use new technologies
• Emotional resilience to cope with and learn from challenging situations
