Strength and Conditioning Coach

The Perse School is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Strength and Conditioning Coach to join their team. As a key member of the non-teaching staff, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical education lessons and developing a strength and conditioning program for the school's sports teams.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver practical sessions within all PE lessons (Y7-11) and 6th Form Games, promoting physical activity and health-related fitness to students and staff.
- Review and develop athletic development and fitness-related modules within the PE curriculum, ensuring alignment with the school's goals and objectives.
- Design and implement a strength and conditioning program for the school's sports teams, working closely with each Head of Sport to achieve optimal results.
- Develop and monitor individual training programs for gifted and talented pupils, in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Sport (Performance).
- Provide an appropriate rehabilitation pathway for injured pupils, liaising with parents, staff, and external clubs and organizations.
- Lead department inset training for colleagues, promoting best practices and sharing expertise.
- Attend Saturday fixtures, supporting the preparation of the school teams or in a coaching capacity.
- Attend relevant departmental meetings and training sessions, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.
- Up-to-date knowledge of working with and protecting children and young people.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and encourage participation, with a strong focus on student well-being.
- Proven administrative skills, with high order proficiency in ICT.
- Confidence, tenacity, flexibility, and adaptability, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Empathy for pupils, parents, staff, and the community, with a deep understanding of the school's values and mission.
