We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Assistant to join our team at Dovetail and Slate, a forward-thinking school for pupils aged 7-16. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to pupils with autism, working closely with teaching staff and the multidisciplinary team to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of every child.

">About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to pupils with autism.
  • Assisting in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and tailored lesson activities.
  • Fostering a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff to promote pupil progress.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people with autism or SEN.

Working Hours and Pay

This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, offering a competitive salary of £85 per day, with potential for progression based on performance and experience.
