Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a bespoke Specialist School in Berkeley.

Key Responsibilities:

* Establish a warm and supportive relationship with pupils to ensure their safety and well-being.
* Promote independence and personal development in pupils, maintaining high expectations of behaviour at all times.
* Contribute to providing high-quality educational activities and experiences, supporting the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum.
* Support the Class Teacher in the day-to-day running of the class.
* Respond to the varying needs of the school, adapting to tasks to achieve a smooth running of the school.
* Promote pupils' cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development, and spiritual well-being.
* Demonstrate a proven ability to work collaboratively within a multi-professional team.

Requirements:

* GCSE (or equivalent qualification) pass in Maths and English is essential.
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant.
* Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
* Knowledge or experience of pupils with SEN or SEMH/ASD.
* Commitment to the role, treating pupils as individuals, and being positive and creative in meeting their needs.
