Job Overview

This position is ideal for a dedicated and skilled nurse looking to advance their career in cardiology services.

We are seeking an experienced cath lab nurse to join our team at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, providing high-quality care to patients undergoing interventional cardiology investigations and procedures.

As a Senior Cath Lab Nurse, you will work closely with the cath lab and cardiology practitioners to deliver a top-notch cardiothoracic service, promoting multidisciplinary teamwork and clinical excellence within the cath labs.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

With a competitive salary of £29,970 - £36,483 pa pro rata, this role offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and personal satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing patient needs and planning care within the framework of medical care.
  • Implementing and evaluating nursing care for all patients undergoing interventional cardiology investigations and procedures.
  • Carrying out nursing procedures and interventions as required, in accordance with local and trust policies.
  • Ensuring the highest standard of routine and emergency patient care during procedures in the laboratory, pacing, and recovery area.
  • Maintaining Health and Safety guidelines within all areas.
