Role Overview

Hedgerows, a short breaks residential service, is seeking dedicated individuals to support adults with learning disabilities.

We are committed to empowering individuals to make informed choices about their support and activities in-house and within the community.

Our team members will assist with all aspects of personal care while observing dignity and respect, encouraging independence skills.

The posts are part-time, following a four-week rolling rota system, consisting of early/late/some nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

We require our team members to be flexible, with frequent opportunities to work extra hours.

In return for your hard work, you can expect a yearly salary between £25,127 and £26,383 pro rata (£13.05-£13.71 an hour), plus enhancements for bank holidays, a sleep-in allowance of £40.76, and potential overtime for enhanced money.

Upon completing a thorough induction, you will provide support and respond to each person to ensure their safety, providing comfort, stimulation, and reassurance during visits and stays.

To be successful, you must hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or be willing to achieve this within two years of employment.

You will also need experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or Autism, knowledge of safeguarding, and the ability to record, report, and monitor daily.

Please note that this post is subject to a genuine occupational requirement for the worker to be female and an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This role requires a command of spoken English sufficient for effective job performance.
