Electrical Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team working in the HV, Energy, and Renewable Sector. This position will be based on a project within the UK.

Our client has offices in Ireland, UK, Denmark, Sweden, and Germany, delivering leading-edge next-generation solutions to clients by designing, building, and installing Data Centres, Pharma and Medical Device Plants, and Renewable Energy Systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Development and review of schematic drawings and single line diagrams.
  2. Complying with specific project safety requirements.
  3. Detailed design covering all aspects of High & Low voltage equipment and control and protection systems.
  4. Specification, selection, and procurement of the range of equipment.
  5. Preparation and interpretation of technical specifications and enquiry documentation.
  6. Assist with the preparation of technical and contract documentation for issue.
  7. Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports.
  8. Prepare method statements and risk assessments.
Requirements:
  1. Suitable Candidates must have a third-level degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years experience working as an Electrical Engineer.
  2. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  3. Experience working in the power and renewables sector.
  4. Ability to prioritize workload according to deadlines together with a high attention to detail.
  5. Ability to influence colleagues at all levels.
  6. Enjoy working as part of a high-performing team.
