Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Planet Recruitment. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and resolve maintenance issues and breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Plan and execute preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with production personnel to ensure equipment usage and efficiency are maximized while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and solve machine, robot, and site breakdowns.
  • Ensure maintenance records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain external expertise when required.
  • Manage stock replenishment of spare parts and consumables within predetermined budgets.
  • Control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment.
  • Review and optimize maintenance plans to reduce labor costs and machine downtime.
  • Work with the Maintenance Team Leader to plan preventative maintenance schedules for all machinery and ancillaries.
  • Undertake planned maintenance programs and review tasks and frequencies to ensure optimal maintenance.
  • Ensure all statutory inspections, testing, and certification are completed on time and records are maintained.

Requirements:

  • High-level technical expertise in modern Injection Moulding machinery.
  • Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all levels of the organization.
