Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Store Manager, you will oversee a large team of 20+ managers in our newest Luxury Flagship in the heart of Leeds.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing store operations and ensuring stores deliver to expectation on all KPIs
- Observing store performance and holding managers accountable for underperformance, providing support and feedback for improvements
- Using business communication tools to oversee completion of tasks and ensure your team understands all key functions
- Challenging and communicating improvements to store operations
- Ensuring wage controls are met on a weekly basis, ensuring store team resolves any issues quickly and effectively
- Overseeing compliance with processing of payroll and exceptions, ensuring you resolve issues and problem-solve effectively
- Driving excellent performance on wage controls through detailed analysis and floor-based observations
- Coaching store team to work within time frames set by the business and guiding them with realistic expectations
- Understanding business and customer expectation and ensuring this is executed to exceptional standards
- Observing service and using knowledge to coach managers on how to improve
- Understanding product features and benefits and coaching the team on how to deliver a broad understanding to teams
- Driving KPI targets and motivating team to deliver results
- Analysing data and communicating with teams for improvement
- Understanding the retail industry, business challenges, competitors, and customers, with a strong commercial awareness
- Coaching and guiding team on how to interpret merchandising guidelines to the sales floor and strong commerciality and efficiency
- Identifying internal and external talent and using development opportunities and performance management processes to drive exceptional performance
- Being self-driven in own personal development
- Planning for development and creating clear succession plans for each store to encourage next generation and support business growth
- Creating an environment that encourages and rewards performance fairly and equitably
- Being a brand ambassador for the Flannels brand both in and out of the workplace
- Inspiring the workforce and acting as a role model to others
- Developing, coaching, and motivating your team of Managers to achieve success, holding them accountable where appropriate
- Developing strong relationships with store teams, senior managers, brand partners, and external stakeholders
Requirements
Proven experience leading a large team in a fast-paced, multi-department environment is essential.
Minimum 3 years of experience within luxury and premium retail at a senior management level.
Vast knowledge and passion of luxury retail, including building brand relationships.
A background that will not only prove you know how to increase sales and profits, control costs and stock loss, but also that you've managed senior managers.
Proven track record of internal progression and development.
Must be able to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines.
Able to work a flexible schedule based on the company needs.
