About the Role
As a key member of our 111 team, you'll be playing a vital part in an exciting service that makes a real difference to people's lives. You'll be handling calls from members of the public, using a state-of-the-art triage tool to assess patients and direct them to the most appropriate care.
Although these are not emergency calls, you'll need to be prepared to deal with emotional, distressing or life-threatening scenarios and arrange for 999 services if required.
We offer enhanced pay rates for weekends and part-time weekend roles from hours per week to cover our core shifts and assist patients when they most need us. Other available hours are weekdays from 07:00 to 16:00.
Please note that if you require hours of more than 24 hours per week, including full-time roles, we may be able to accommodate you if you're happy to work more weekend hours.
The extensive training equips you with valuable skills and includes assessments. You can choose from two training options: full-time Monday-Friday for 6 weeks or part-time Tues, Weds, Thurs and Sat-Sun for 8 weeks. You must attend every training day, followed by a further eight weeks' support before you're signed off to work on your own.
Once you've completed your training, you can join the team part-time on your pre-discussed shift pattern. However, please note that this is a 24/7, 365-days-a-year service and is particularly busy at weekends and weekday evenings.
