Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at St Monica Trust. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to our residents, while also providing leadership and guidance to our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Care
    • Assess and monitor residents' needs, and provide individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
    • Administer medication and perform clinical procedures as needed.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Leadership and Guidance
    • Provide coaching and guidance to junior staff members to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge.
    • Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in patient care and staff development.
    • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care delivery.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including GPs, pharmacists, and community partners.
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • Qualified and NMC Registered Nurse (adult level 1)
  • Experience
    • Experience of working with older people, those with a disability, and/or dementia.
    • Experience of working in a nursing home/hospital/sheltered housing/social care setting.
  • Skills
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Further Education
    • Completion of (or willing to complete) Supporting Students in Practice (formerly the Facilitated Learning and Assessment in Practice course).
  • Leadership and Management
    • People management skills.
    • Experience of quality assurance systems.
