We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at St Monica Trust. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to our residents, while also providing leadership and guidance to our staff.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Care
- Assess and monitor residents' needs, and provide individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
- Administer medication and perform clinical procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Leadership and Guidance
- Provide coaching and guidance to junior staff members to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in patient care and staff development.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care delivery.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including GPs, pharmacists, and community partners.
- Qualifications
- Qualified and NMC Registered Nurse (adult level 1)
- Experience
- Experience of working with older people, those with a disability, and/or dementia.
- Experience of working in a nursing home/hospital/sheltered housing/social care setting.
- Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Further Education
- Completion of (or willing to complete) Supporting Students in Practice (formerly the Facilitated Learning and Assessment in Practice course).
- Leadership and Management
- People management skills.
- Experience of quality assurance systems.
