Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is proud to partner with a leading social housing organisation, dedicated to providing safe and affordable housing for their community. As a Contract Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective management of contracts related to property maintenance, repairs, and refurbishments.
Your New Role
You will work closely with the Senior Surveyors to provide contract management advice and contractor performance updates. Analyse and become familiar with current contractor JCT contracts and advise on the correct processes and procedures. Support the operations team with contract administration, attending contract pre-commencement and progress meetings as required. Prepare and send enquiries to contractors, inviting them to quote, and analyse quotes to make recommendations. Cooperate with colleagues to consistently deliver projects on time and within agreed budgets, adhering to team processes through successful audit outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Advise on the selection of suitable contracts for projects, including familiarity with WHQS standards and regulations. Prepare contract documents and pricing documents, ensuring contracts are managed correctly. Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders, utilising excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate attention to detail and proactive problem-solving abilities, collaborating effectively with colleagues and external partners.
