Job Overview

Barchester Healthcare is a leading provider of high-quality care services across the UK. As an Operational Trainer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that staff members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional care.

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Operational Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our training department, you will be responsible for providing induction and development training to new staff members. You will work closely with home managers to ensure that individual personal development plans are implemented, and you will promote learning and development opportunities within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver induction and development training against Barchester objectives and training statistics
  • Provide hands-on training across a variety of subjects
  • Plan and publish training calendars
  • Ensure employee training files are up-to-date
  • Observe workplace practice
  • Arrange induction paperwork and a buddy in advance of a new employee starting
  • Maintain regular contact with new team members, coaching and supporting where appropriate
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • C&G 7300 (or equivalent)
  • Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care or experience of working in the social care sector
  • Working knowledge of legislative requirements in the care sector
  • 2 years' training experience
  • A full UK driving licence
