Barchester Healthcare is a leading provider of quality care to residents and patients across our expanding portfolio of care homes and hospitals. Our Operational Trainers play a vital role in ensuring the continued delivery of exceptional care by training staff to work effectively in a person-centered and compassionate manner.

Operational Trainers at Barchester are responsible for providing induction and development training to new staff members, with a focus on developing their skills and competencies. This varied position will provide opportunities to witness the growth and development of staff from their first day, throughout their Barchester career.

This home-based position involves travel around a specific region, allowing trainers to build relationships with colleagues and develop a deep understanding of local needs and challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality training sessions that meet Barchester's objectives and training statistics
  • Provide hands-on training across various subjects, including care practices and policies
  • Plan and schedule training calendars to ensure seamless delivery
  • Maintain accurate records of employee training files
  • Monitor workplace practice and provide coaching and support as needed
  • Coordinate induction paperwork and arrange a buddy for new employees
  • Promote learning and development opportunities within Barchester
  • Work closely with Home Managers to implement individual personal development plans
Requirements
  • C&G 7300 (or equivalent) qualification
  • Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care or relevant experience in social care sector
  • Working knowledge of legislative requirements in the care sector
  • At least 2 years of training experience
  • Full UK driving licence
Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
