We are seeking an exceptional Senior Simulation Engineer to join our dynamic team, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the development of our high-performance vehicles.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of advanced simulation tools and methodologies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in numerical methods, modeling, and simulation techniques, as well as expertise in dynamical systems analysis and control.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Simulation Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and maintaining algorithms to interrogate our vehicle models.
- Modeling dynamic systems to accurately represent vehicle performance.
- Developing innovative, cutting-edge simulation tools to support the wider Engineering team.
- Providing technical assistance to the broader Team, ensuring seamless operation of simulation tools.
- Contributing to the development of a world-class simulation toolchain and analysis techniques.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Masters degree (PhD preferred) or equivalent in Engineering, Physics, or Applied Mathematics.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, C++, and Python.
- Strong experience with numerical methods, modeling, and simulation techniques.
- Excellent technical and mathematical skills.
- Expertise in dynamical systems analysis and control.
- Competent user of version control and efficiency tools.
- Ability to deliver complex information in audience-appropriate oral or written style.
Preferred Qualifications
We are particularly interested in candidates with previous experience in a vehicle performance-focused role in high-level motorsport, broad awareness of vehicle dynamics and global performance sensitivities in an F1 setting, data science and machine learning competency, and experience of ATLAS or similar time-series data analysis tools.
