Consultant in Women's Health

">We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services. The post holder will participate in Tier 3 non-resident obstetrics and gynaecology cover at UHND, currently 1 in 12. Non-emergency work will include regular fetal medicine scanning sessions, antenatal clinics, elective caesarean sections, gynaecology clinics, and theatre sessions depending on skill set and interests.
">Main Responsibilities
">To participate in the Tier 3 non-resident obstetrics and gynaecology cover at UHND, currently 1 in 12. This includes attending the CDDFT Quality Steering Group for Antenatal & Newborn Screening, liaising with colleagues and coordinating Obstetric Ultrasound Training for Trainees, undertaking clinical shifts in the Department at the direction of the Clinical Director for Obstetrics and Gynaecology, conducting regular clinical reviews of patients, and supporting patients, families, and colleagues in providing coordinated multidisciplinary care.
">To take a leadership and mentoring role for doctors in training and others within the department, and be responsible for covering colleagues' periods of annual leave and short-term sickness.
">Key Requirements
">Clinical experience and competence in General and Operative Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Ability to organise workload efficiently. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Enquiring, critical approach to work. Evidence of understanding of role of clinical management. Knowledge of Audit process & Clinical Governance. Evidence of involvement in risk management processes, protocol development. Commitment to continuing medical education, appraisal, and clinical governance. Experience of teaching to undergraduates.

">The salary for this post is £100,000 - £150,000 per annum.
