We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to work in the Newbury and Reading area with Thames Water. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to our environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plant Maintenance - Investigate and repair mechanical and electrical equipment to minimize plant breakdowns and maintain compliance with company procedures.
  • Technical Support - Provide technical advice and support to technical trainees as required, referring to up-to-date technical knowledge.
  • Equipment Maintenance - Work on various equipment such as motors, gearboxes, screw/chain conveyors, centrifuges, pumps, and associated control gear.
  • Emergency Response - Respond to emergency situations and carry out repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible to avoid interruptions to the process.

As a Mechanical & Electrical Technician, you will be working in a multi-discipline team and will be responsible for carrying out scheduled, unscheduled, and emergency maintenance work on mechanical and electrical equipment. You will be expected to provide technical advice and support to technical trainees as required.
