Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Verto People. The successful candidate will provide expert mechanical repair, service, and maintenance on various Hydraulic systems, including rams, pumps, motors, valves, powerpacks, hoses, and other mechanical engineering solutions.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work in a dynamic workshop environment based in Newbury. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking planned and preventative maintenance of a variety of mechanical engineering equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert mechanical repair, service, and maintenance on Hydraulic systems, including installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Undertake planned and preventative maintenance of mechanical engineering equipment, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments to ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication.
  • Install Hydraulic systems into diverse manufacturing industries, utilizing your expertise to deliver high-quality results.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong service/maintenance background in electromechanical or mechanical engineering, with experience working on compressors, filtration, generators, pipework, valves, pumps, vacuum systems, motors, gearboxes, plant machinery, rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and/or electromechanical engineering equipment.
  • Proven diagnostic skills on complex electrical or mechanical engineering systems.
  • Experience as a Service Engineer, Service Technician, Hydraulic Engineer, Mobile Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, Workshop Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Installation Engineer, Pump Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or similar.
  • The ability to maintain good professional relationships with existing and new customers.
  • A technical engineering degree/qualification or apprentice-trained background would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to commute to the Newbury area and be based out of our workshop.
