This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced External Affairs and Reputation Manager to join our team in Glasgow. As a key member of our Communications department, you will play a crucial role in promoting Scottish Canals' vision and values through effective external and internal communications. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing complex stakeholder engagement campaigns, supporting the communication of internal communications, and identifying reputational risks and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Devising and implementing proactive corporate communications strategies
  • Designing key messages for Capital Works projects/initiatives and mapping them for each audience
  • Juggling competing demands from all levels within the business to deliver consistent, effective reputation management support

You will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. You will also have a valid driving licence. Scottish Canals offer a competitive salary package, including a £30,069 per year (Band C) salary, pro-rata for part-time working, plus additional benefits such as enhanced sick pay and a contributory pension scheme with up to 10% employer contribution.
