About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Medical Secretary to join our team at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust. As a Medical Secretary, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our clinicians, ensuring the smooth running of our department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a complete medical secretarial service, including accurate typing of clinical correspondence and production of clinic letters and other documents.
- Liaise with nurses, doctors, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide a quality service for patients.
- Work as part of a team to share responsibility for the smooth running of the department.
- Provide a first point of contact, answering all telephone enquiries, taking and relaying messages in a polite and helpful manner.
- Check patients have been listed on patient databases and assist booking clerks as required.
- Effectively arrange and book follow-up appointments, and monitor the 'To be Scheduled' List.
