Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead Pharmacist to manage our dispensary in Basildon, Essex.

About the Role
  • Manage the safe and effective operation of the dispensary, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a team of pharmacists and support staff, conducting regular performance reviews and providing coaching where necessary.
  • Oversee the implementation of Working Directory Arrangements (WDA) responsibilities and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for medication handling, storage, dispensing, and documentation.
  • Provide exceptional patient care by resolving service-related queries and complaints efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) registration.
  • Extensive experience in a relevant pharmacy setting, preferably within a hospital environment.
  • Desirable experience in pharmacy dispensing environments.
  • Knowledge and experience of WDA responsibilities and SOPs.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a salary of up to £70,000 per annum, dependent on experience, with opportunities for career development and growth within the company.
