Job Title: Children's Welfare and Care Specialist

About the Role:

SGS Care Ltd is seeking an experienced and dedicated Children's Welfare and Care Specialist to join our residential team. As a specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in our settings, working closely with colleagues to ensure the physical, intellectual, emotional, psychological, and social needs of the children are consistently met.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic caregiving on a shift pattern, including days, evenings, waking nights (when/if required), weekends, bank holidays, sleeping-in duties, and, subject to risk assessment, lone working.
  • Fulfill all the tasks outlined in children's care plans in line with agreed timescales.
  • Ensure the timely completion of all records, assessments, and reports in line with policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Engage children and young people in the role of key worker as assigned by the Deputy and Registered Manager.
  • Undertake direct work with young people and act as an appropriate role model.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 in Children Residential (or equivalent) or working toward this.
  • Min of 1 Year in Residential with Children or Young Adults aged between 4 to 24.
  • UK Driving Licence: Required.

At SGS Care Ltd, our goal is to establish a warm, nurturing environment that fosters the safety, growth, and development of the children in our care.

Salary: £33,000 per annum, inclusive of up to 3 sleeps per month, additional sleeps paid at £50 per sleep, with overtime available to increase salary if required.
