Plant Yard Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Plant Yard Manager to oversee the efficient operation of our yard, ensuring the smooth management of internal plant hire and consumables.
Key Responsibilities:- Overall Site Operations: Oversee all aspects of the yard, ensuring efficient operations and effective management of resources.
- Logistics & Transportation Management: Manage logistics and deliveries, including scheduling, driver coordination, and external plant movement with plant suppliers.
- Plant Maintenance & Inventory: Lead plant maintenance initiatives, including implementing preventive maintenance programs, and manage procurement, distribution, and inventory control of consumables and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Fleet Management: Oversee the company vehicle fleet, ensuring its maintenance, operation, and efficiency.
- Supplier & Partner Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and partners.
- Training & Development: Manage in-house training courses and maintain and control the training matrix, ensuring employees have the necessary skills and certifications.
- Technology & Optimization: Collaborate with the IT department to enhance the existing plant tracking system and analyze data to identify areas for improvement in productivity, standards, and resource allocation.
- Growth & Development: Partner with the MD and HoO to develop and expand the Plant Department.
- Team Support: Work closely with the Diamond Drilling Contracts Manager to guarantee the team's access to equipment and replenish core drilling consumables to support operations.
- Professional Development: Attend senior management meetings as required to stay informed and contribute strategic insights.
- Workplace Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve the comfort and functionality of the Plant Yard office space.
