Overall Site Operations:
As Plant Yard Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the yard, including managing logistics and deliveries, scheduling, and coordinating with plant suppliers. You will also lead plant maintenance initiatives, implement preventive maintenance programs, and manage procurement, distribution, and inventory control of consumables and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Logistics & Transportation Management:
You will oversee the movement of plant equipment, manage driver coordination, and ensure the efficient operation of the yard. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in ensuring that all logistics and transportation tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
Plant Maintenance & Inventory:
As Plant Yard Manager, you will be responsible for leading plant maintenance initiatives, including implementing preventive maintenance programs. You will also manage procurement, distribution, and inventory control of consumables and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Fleet Management:
You will oversee the company vehicle fleet, ensuring its maintenance, operation, and efficiency. Your ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement will be essential in optimizing the fleet's performance.
Training & Development:
You will work closely with the IT department to enhance the existing plant tracking system and analyze data to identify areas for improvement in productivity, standards, and resource allocation. Your ability to identify and eliminate waste and excessive overtime will be crucial in achieving optimal return on assets.
Team Support:
You will work closely with the Diamond Drilling Contracts Manager to guarantee the team's access to equipment and replenish core drilling consumables to support operations. Your ability to build strong relationships with the team will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the yard.
Professional Development:
As Plant Yard Manager, you will attend senior management meetings as required to stay informed and contribute strategic insights. Your ability to think critically and strategically will be essential in driving the success of the plant yard.
Workplace Improvement:
You will lead initiatives to improve the comfort and functionality of the Plant Yard office space, ensuring that it is a productive and comfortable environment for all staff.
