Job Overview

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Triage, assessment, and formulation of young people presenting to CAMHS.
  • Consultation with professionals making referrals to the service.
  • Undertaking telephone assessments of young people referred to the service.
  • Undertaking face-to-face assessments of young people referred to the service.
  • Working flexibly across multiple sites.
  • Taking part in the review of clinical records.
  • Reviewing data to support the management of waiting lists.
  • Working within a team of skilled CAMHS clinicians.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (NMC) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working in a mental health setting.
  • Ability to assess a young person and develop a formulation.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the health and social care systems and operating frameworks.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, observation, and reporting skills.
