About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Delivery Manager to lead our South East Mental Health and Substance Misuse Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support services to adults in our community.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to join our team and make a real difference in people's lives. You will work closely with colleagues to provide person-centred, strengths-based social care support that empowers individuals to maximise their independence and quality of life.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing complex cases, supervising others, and acting as a senior decision maker. They will also possess excellent problem-solving and risk assessment skills, as well as strong communication and relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Line Management: Provide effective line management support to the team, focusing on wellbeing, quality of work, and performance management.
  • Decision-Making: Take responsibility for key decision-making, including agreeing outcomes for escalations and complaints.
  • Strategic Planning: Undertake strategic planning to ensure we continue to deliver an effective service while continuously improving in response to the changing environment.
  • Multi-Agency Work: Manage complex multi-agency work, including negotiation with partner agencies based on robust knowledge and application of legal frameworks.
  • Safeguarding: Oversee safeguarding enquiries that involve the highest level of risk.
What We're Looking For
  • A Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  • Extensive experience managing complex cases, supervising others, and acting as a senior decision maker.
  • Excellent problem-solving and risk assessment skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Commitment to demonstrating our values and behaviours, showing compassion, empathy, and respect.
  • Previous experience working in a management position or in a mental health setting would be a plus.
