Job Title: Senior Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our Paediatric and Young Adult Liver Services team at King's College Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical psychology services to children and young people with liver conditions, from diagnosis to transition to adult services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist psychological assessment, treatment, and liaison with other professionals to support children and young people with liver conditions.
  • Develop and implement integrated psychological care pathways in liver services, working closely with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Supervise and support junior psychologists and other healthcare professionals in the delivery of psychological services.
  • Contribute to the development of the psychology service, including policy development, service planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Represent the psychology service at local and national meetings, promoting the importance of psychological care in liver services.
Requirements:
  • Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology, with registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Chartered status with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Post-doctoral training in one or more specialized areas of psychological practice, such as CBT or Motivational Interviewing.
  • Experience of working with children, adolescents, and young adults with medical needs, including liver conditions.
  • Experience of supervision and leadership, with the ability to develop and implement clinical guidelines and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
