About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our Respiratory Team at University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in respiratory care, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in respiratory care, including critical care, surgical wards, and emergency therapy teams.
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols to improve patient outcomes and care pathways.
  • Supervise and mentor junior physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement education and training programs for staff and patients.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our respiratory service strategy, ensuring alignment with Trust objectives and national guidelines.

Person Specification

  • Registered Physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Minimum 18 months graduate experience as a physiotherapist, with a strong background in respiratory care.
  • Experience of supporting and supervising staff, with a track record of clinical leadership and expertise.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to travel to and work across multiple sites, with a flexible approach to working hours and on-call commitments.
