We are seeking a dedicated Tutoring Specialist to join our team at GSL Education. This role involves providing personalized educational support to students with Looked After Children (LAC) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective tutoring sessions to students, focusing on their individual learning needs.
- Develop and implement personalized learning plans for academic and emotional support of students.
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, student progress, and any issues that arise.
- Foster a positive and supportive relationship with students to build their confidence and motivation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with LAC and SEMH students.
- Relevant teaching or tutoring qualifications.
- Strong understanding of the educational and emotional needs of LAC and SEMH students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
