Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an International Illicit Finance Policy Expert.

Company Overview

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office is the UK government's lead department for international development and diplomatic relations. We work to promote British interests overseas, supporting sustainable economic growth and stability in developing countries.

This role will be based in London and will involve working closely with our team to develop and implement policies to combat illicit finance and transnational corruption.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £53,000 per annum, plus benefits including a Civil Service pension scheme, 25 days annual leave, and 9 days public and privilege holidays per annum.

Job Responsibilities

As an International Illicit Finance Policy Expert, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing policies to combat illicit finance and transnational corruption;
  • Collaborating with international partners to share best practices and expertise;
  • Providing technical assistance to governments and other stakeholders to support their efforts to combat illicit finance;
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest research and analysis on illicit finance and transnational corruption;
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing policies to combat illicit finance and transnational corruption;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders;
  • A strong understanding of the political economy of illicit finance and transnational corruption;
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
