Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Production Chef Apprentice to join our team at Rock Pool Café in Westward Ho, Devon.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with catering experience to progress their career and gain a production chef qualification.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To undertake food preparation and cooking of items as directed by the Head Chef.
  • To carry out food preparations according to the standards set out by the Head Chef.
  • To follow instructions, observing the rules set by the cafe regarding hygiene, stock rotation, dating and storage, temperature control of refrigerators, pest control, reporting of faulty equipment, reporting of notifiable diseases and notification to the hotel if he/she cannot attend work for whatever reason.

The successful candidate will be supported by an Industry expert assessor throughout their apprenticeship and will have the opportunity to gain a mix of face-to-face and online learning.
