We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Associate Practitioner. In this role, you will work independently and as part of a team of clinicians to provide 24-hour mental health access and information in the locality of the Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with key partner organisations, service users, clinicians, and other practitioners within the multi-disciplinary team.
- Deliver high-quality, effective operational service to people with mental health needs, in accordance with the principles and objectives of the Trust and its vision.
- Act as a role model to other colleagues within the team and provide training in aspects of care to new starters on the unit.
- Be responsible for the implementation of all care aspects of individual care planning and attend to the physical and psychological needs of patients under the care of the nursing team.
- Establish therapeutic relationships with individual service users, relatives, and carers and contribute towards the formulation of care.
- Essential skills and knowledge include experience working in a mental health setting, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work flexibly and undertake a change in role at short notice.
- Desirable skills and knowledge include knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and experience working with patients detained under section of the Mental Health Act 1983.
