Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Goods-In Controller to join our client's team in Crayford. As a key member of the manufacturing team, you will be responsible for receiving and processing goods, ensuring accuracy and completeness in the ERP system, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform goods-in quality inspection on all received goods according to required standards and inspection criteria.
- Advise relevant departments and suppliers of defective products found.
- Produce and issue corrective action documents to suppliers, ensuring follow-up for future compliance.
- Book goods into the ERP system (Sage 200) with accuracy and completeness.
- Provide goods-in reports and inspection reports as required.
- Deal with purchasing queries related to bookings or deliveries.
- Answer the door for receipt of deliveries and collections.
- Identify material shortages and report to the line manager.
- Follow the Goods Inwards and Quality Control Procedure.
- Receive and pack goods safely using required equipment.
Requirements:
- Experience with verniers, height gauges, roughness measurement equipment, micrometer, radius gauges, etc.
- Knowledge of machined components from Sub-Tier machining & Sub Contract Treatments suppliers.
- Higher level Gauge R&R and/or metrology lab experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a quality-conscious manufacturing/engineering environment.
- Ability to accurately work to agreed procedures and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
- Experience with Sage Manufacturing or similar package.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Forklift experience (training provided where required).
