Job Title: Senior Robotics Engineer

Location: Barrow-In-Furness

Salary: Competitive

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform fault analysis, corrective actions, and system updates on state-of-the-art automated robotic welding equipment.
  • Identify opportunities for robotic and automated technologies adoption and specify requirements for implementation.
  • Develop and introduce solutions to improve production efficiency and quality.
  • Support Welding Engineering colleagues with PQR development and testing.
  • Investigate emerging process technology and consumables for applicability to submarine construction.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with ABB IRC5 robotic systems, including programming, fault finding, and rectification.
  • Qualified to BSc/BEng level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of welding processes and ability to assimilate and process data.
