Complex Care Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to provide care and support for a client who has sustained a brain injury.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care, and be able to deal with challenging behaviours. They will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
The Support Worker will be responsible for engaging with personalised routines, completing daily living activities, administering medication, and providing emotional support and companionship. They will also be required to maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client’s condition.
The client requires support with day-to-day activities and companionship, and will be attending hydrotherapy appointments. The Support Worker must be comfortable with being in water and have a UK driver’s license with access to a vehicle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging with personalised routines, including hoists.
- Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility.
- Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
- Providing emotional support and companionship.
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in the client’s condition.
