Professor of Lifestyle as Medicine

The Leicester Lifestyle Health and Research Group (LLHRG) is expanding its team with a new Professor of Lifestyle as Medicine position. This prestigious research group is part of the Diabetes Research Centre and NIHR Leicester Biomedical Research Centre, with a diverse research portfolio that investigates how lifestyle behaviours can be optimized to prevent and manage obesity and long-term conditions.

About the Role

We are seeking an established research leader to join our team, complementing our diverse multidisciplinary expertise and playing a key role in contributing to the development and success of LLHRG. The successful candidate will have expertise in exercise physiology, mHealth, implementation science, multiple long-term conditions, or clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and success of LLHRG
  • Lead research projects in lifestyle as medicine
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Develop and implement research strategies
  • Secure funding for research projects
